    Marc Muendler

    Marc-Andreas Muendler is Professor of economics at UC San Diego. Marc studies the origins of globalization and its consequences for local industries and labor markets as well as firm dynamics and entrepreneurship. Marc is also a Research Professor at ifo Institute Munich, a Guest Professor at the University of St. Gallen, and a Research Associate at the NBER. He received his Ph.D. in economics from UC Berkeley in 2002.

    Fabian Trottner

    Fabian Trottner is Assistant Professor of economics at UC San Diego. Fabian studies international trade, international macroeconomics and labor markets. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University in 2020.
  • Carlos Góes

    Carlos Góes

    Carlos Góes is a doctoral candidate in economics at UC San Diego. His research lies at the intersection of international trade and macroeconomics. Carlos previously worked as a senior economic adviser to the President of Brazil and as a researcher at the International Monetary Fund and the World Trade Organization. Carlos is also the founder of Instituto Mercado Popular, a São Paulo-based think tank.

    Junyuan Chen

    Junyuan Chen is a doctoral candidate in economics at UC San Diego. His main research interest is in short-run macroeconomics. Junyuan combines quantitative theory models with empirical methods to address real-world questions.

    Renata Abbott Navarrete

    Renata Abbott Navarrete is a doctoral student of economics at UC San Diego. Renata’s research brings large-scale microeconomic data to the analysis of macroeconomic phenomena.
